You have to take off your hat in front of a lady...

First commision ever !!

Here is Dartimen & Cassandra, characters of Brian Laliberte - an elf pirate and a half-breed vampire (on his DA account *ATouchOfMadness you can read the first chapter of the story where come from these two)
Have a lot of fun with the sketch, especially Cassandra's clothes (I'm particulary happy how the woman came out).

The all drawing is watercolor but I play a little with photoshop because, you know, mix digital and traditionnal is the story of my life !
But basically it's a mixed traditionnal media with watercolor, black pen, white pen, watermarkers and a bit of pencil. Just enhanced the rainy feeling with photoshop.

great proof of the versatility of watercolor. it doesn't have to be wimpy, particularly with a little pen added.
the reflection's a lovely touch.

I use normal drawing paper (one which support watercolor). The effect you see is only a texture I put with photoshop ^_^

ah! don't get too close to that lady! she gon' getcha!!
:D great work. the watercolor effect reminds me a bit of gold-seven's work, but she seems to have stepped down a notch as of late.
i love the lines of this
